This is the seventh post in a series of posts about my pre blog quilts. Check out the rest of them
here.
I've actually done a blog post about this quilt before. On another blog I started that only ended up with about 7 posts! I'm pretty proud of myself for keeping this one going as long as I have, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
This quilt was made for a friend of my sisters as she underwent treatment for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I felt a bit helpless being on the other side of the world (As she was living in London) and this was the best I could do. I took it over with me when I visited London in 2011 and gave it to her when I was there. I was very happy that she liked it! I was thrilled when I noticed it in the background of a photo she posted to facebook recently! I love knowing that the quilts I make get used.
The pattern was
Cartwheels by
Amanda of Crazy Mom Quilts as posted on the
Moda Bake Shop. I used a Circa 1934 by Cosmo Cricket jelly roll and the same tree of life like backing as this quilt.

I've got to say this quilt holds a very special place in my heart.
